The production season of the Joliet Drama Guild now runs from January 1st through December 31st.
Typically we produce 1 play or small musical, 1 large musical in the summer and a Christmas show every season as our mainstream offerings at the Bicentennial Park in Joliet. Our Studio J productions are usually something “a little different”. We also try to offer various workshops throughout the year on various topics to increase participant's stagecraft.
We have also partnered with American Legion #1080 at 2625 Ingalls Ave and will perform 2 murder mystery dinner theater shows a year along with other fun things like Pancakes with Peter, a Christmas show, Friday fish fry's and more!!! Come join us in all the fun!
Step into the enchanted world of Broadway's classic, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, an international sensation that has been produced in 37 countries worldwide. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity

Show dates and times: Friday July 29th 7:00, Saturday July 30th 7:00 and Sunday July 31st 2:00, Friday August 5th 7:00, Saturday August 6th 7:00 and Sunday August 7th 2:00.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for students and seniors. Show is at Bicentennial Park located at 201 W Jefferson St, Joliet, IL
